I am Claudia Capone, an Italian artist born in Ivrea (1975). I currently have my studio in Cascinette d'Ivrea, Turin.
I come from a family of artists on my father 's side (musicians, poets, painters) and from an early age I had a passion for painting and drawing. Already at the age of 11, I first painted on ceramics with the third-fire technique.
Growing up, I chose a computer education, but this did not stop me from drawing subjects in pencil in every spare moment, while studying, as a self-taught, the techniques of drawing, ceramic painting and oil painting.
In 1992, at the age of 17, I took part in the 2nd "E.N.D.A.S." painting competition in Montanaro (Turin), ranking 10th with a charcoal glimpse of the village.
I have been drawing for many, many years with hyperrealistic chalk technique, but simultaneously experimenting with other techniques including watercolor, acrylics, airbrush and pyrography.
I struggled for years to put myself out there, abandoning brushes for long periods of time when I became a mom.
Accomplice to an unforeseen job loss in adulthood, I decided to start studying again, becoming, first, a forest therapy guide, then a mindfulness teacher, and finally deciding to challenge myself artistically, making my passion a job, devoting these last few years to realizing the project of becoming a full-time artist. I decided, therefore, to totally abandon the techniques that gave me confidence, moving to an instinctive type of work without a style that distinguishes me. Work that reflects my imagination and Spirit.
"I don't have a style, I paint worlds."
